Well folks Im quite new to the Model A world. Having just purchased my first A, a 1929 tudor with 35,000 miles. The car has spent the last 20 years in a shed. My only problem other than wiring and seating is the rear end tends to bind up in reverse and bang some in forward gears. Im confused about the cause of this. I was told by one person it may be a carrier bearing thats shot and letting the pinion ride up the ring. Another says spider gears. As I said I am new to this any suggestions? Also where might I find a spring spreader?
