The automotive history books detail Henry Fords early production models as beginning with the A. The next model was the B and progressed through the Model T. At this point, the next model was so radicaly different from its predecessors that Mr. Ford decided to begin again with the model numbering scheme. Thus the Model A. The first Model A was produced late (Nov/Dec)in 1927 and was sold as a 1928. The Model A was manufactured from 1927 through 1931. At that point, the 1932 model was called a Model B and was called that through 1933. The models after that,i.e. 1934, were identified by the year of manufacture which continues to today.
