Model A engine numbers are located just above the water inlet on the driver side of the engine on a slightly raised boss,the chassis number cannot be viewed without the body removed as it is on the frame rail {left}under cowl.If the engine is original and the frame number can still be seen they will match as the engine number was stamped on the frame at assembly at the factory.
