we have a model a suppler in the area who swears by 8 volt batterys in the Model A. How ever why would one put a 8 volt battery in a 6 volt system? I have asked a very reputable automotive electrical shop this same question and he said one should set up your generater for 8 volts, he said this should not be a problem. Other wise why install a bigger battery. When I installed new cables in my Model A I went to a battery shop where they made up #3 welding cable cables for me. I also installed an ground cable from fram to motor
