I'll do some searching, but I think you've said enough to get
me to stay with a 6 volt battery. I was not aware of the 6-12 volt cable differences, it could be some of the issues with my friend's truck, I know he pulled his cables out of stock at his service garage. Likely 12volt as he works on late models.
E-mail didn't show because I hadn't entered it, never thought about it since it's automatic at other forums I visit.
It's there now.
