Just got a chassis with matching numbers for a nice body I got to tuck away for the future. But the wheels are locked up as it sits on the trailer. Seems the brake shoes are fixed to the drums and rear brake levers are stuck too. Used a fork-lift to get it on a trailer. Still pondering how to get it off. I beat on the drums with a hammer and mallet. Lots of rust comes out. Took off the actuator arms on the fronts to shoot lubricant down, sprayed lube all around the drums to get inside. Adjusting screws are also siezed. Strange to me with engine free, but wheels siezed. Anyone have experience? Is a torch ok on drums? My 28 Tudor had bad seals which greased it all up avoiding this problem.
Tranny also stuck in gear. I "THINK" I can figure that one out when removing the top. Just hope the rear end is not stuck. It ran 25 years ago. Been sitting in CO since.
