Model A Brakes

I'd like to keep my 1930 Tudor Sedan as stock as possible but I also want to drive it on tours and be safe. The brakes are currently not safe over 20 MPH. Do most people who take their Model A's out on the road put hydrallic brakes on them or are they able to make the mechanical brakes work safely. I'll be taking my grandsons on these trips and don't want to take any chances.

If I need hydrallic brakes, do you know of any one in the Dallas area that can install them?
