I took my tank to Metal Rehab over in Arlington. They charged about $100 a few years back. (might have gone up a little)

When you get the tank back, it looks like a brand new quarter. No radiator shop can clean a tank this good, and you pay $50 - $80 at a radiator shop. Worth the few extra dollars in my opinion.

Seal and go.

Now, I've seen two tanks now that were from older restorations like from the 60's and the inside looks galvenized. I've got one on my cabriolet like that. Perhaps some guys were galvenizing them as the old method.
