hole in cap is a good cure, it just takes a small hole. chk for water in the gas in gas-line, carb bowl, and glass bulb at top of line. even condensation from setting to long. look for rust in glass bowl and bottom of carb. consider a filter in the gas line NAPA-3031, Motorcraft FG-46, or Purolator F-21124. Chk condensor to be sure it is not breaking down when it gets warm or hot.
