I would start looking for a Zenith carb. They seem to work better than Tillotsons is what most people think. You might find some kits in the catalogues for rebuilding your Tillotson. You might try to solder the crack in the float, I do not know if something like JB Weld would work or not. I guess it would depend on how large the crack is. Making a gasket is tough because you need to get the right thickness for everything to fit rught and it is trickly on a carb with potential air leaks and gas leaks.
