I hope that you plan to continue your swap site in the future. I read where there may be some changes in the near future. I personally visit the swap site daily and, through a "wanted" ad, purchased an "undiscovered" original '31 deluxe roadster that has been my "chance of a lifetime". The magic of cyberspace!

We also drive a 30 Murray town sedan and if the planets are in order, the sun is out and the car gods are smiling upon us we will drive our 11 'T' touring. A&M & UT students are running a petition drive to get ABC Sports to run the halftime show during Friday's Texas A&M - University of Texas football game instead of the usual talk. This is a good cause: first, because the halftime show is often better than the game and second, because this year it will be a memorial to the students who died in the Bonfire collapse. BOTH bands will no doubt put on a show to be remembered. To participate, go to http://www.abcsports.com/ask.htmland fill in the form. Forward this to anyone who might help out. Please copy and forward to as many as you can.....Thanks Forwarded by John Holloway '69

My wife and I have had a '29 A-Model de-Luxe Tourer(Canadian build chassis; CKD assy Ford Geelong) for over 23 yrs now. Problem is that after many club Hill Climbs, Motorkanas, Spirited Runs over long distances year-round and successfully taking on Chev-4's (as well as Dodges and other mixed Vintage iron), the motor has just taken ill with crumbling mains and big-ends, so a full re-build is order prior to year end as 1999/2000 New Year's bash is booked in the Victorian High Country on top of the world as wee call it! This will be only it's second re-build from +.030 to +.060 re-bore plus the bottom end so has lasted really well. It's definitely a GO car not intended as a show car but very presentable and a 100% re-build last time around. Great site and links! Good to see a result like this when people are comfortable mixing the old technology with the new on the Web; works wonders for communication. Greetings from Down Under!

Dear Friends: Your Model A site is very well done and enjoyable to look at. I have long been a member of CCCA and The Packard Club and am a contributor to the publications of both groups. But I have a keen respect, admiration and love for the Model A Ford. From the standpoint of the high quality vehicle the purchaser received for the modest price he paid, the Model A was the best car ever built. I am looking for a plain Jane, l930 Tudor, with no cowl lights, black in color or some authentic color scheme, black wall tires, preferably an original car or old restoration, of about a good number three condition, that doesn't need anything done to it to drive and enjoy. If any such is available in the North East, I'd appreciate being notified. Many thanks, and best wishes for your continued success. Jim Pearsall, Zarephath, NJ.

I restore Mustangs for a hobby, but I stumbled across a '30 Model A Truck cab in a guys garage. I bought it to try and rebuild. The cowl section will be salvagable after I acid dip it and replace the side cowl panels. The back and roof panels were too rusted, so I'm using them for molds and making fiberglass pieces. I'll be looking for a frame next. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 1928 Ford Model A that has not been driven or worked on for over 30 years. I would like to part with the car but have no idea whether I should even attempt to sell or just take to the dump. The engine was taken apart years ago with good intensions of rebuilding. However, the project never came to fruition. I still have all parts. Anyone with input regarding whether to sell vs. throw away would be greatly appreciated. If "sell" is the option, I have no idea of a price range. -- Jeff Jeff <Samui@USWest.net> Phoenix, AZ USA - Friday, March 05, 1999 at 21:45:26 (EST)

Nice web site, the pictures were helpful as I am thinking of purchasing a Model A and I am not familiar with all the body styles. Wife says it has to carry 4 people, some stuff, and tools. I am concerned about parts availablity and on-road=breakdowns. I want a nice one but one I can drive here in East Texas. Would prefer not to pay more than $8000 but might go 10 . The Model A Ford Guestbook was getting very long (thanks to all the kind comments from you folks). So I have created a new book and archived the guestbook covering the period from March 5, 1997 to December 28, 1997. Be sure and view the archived Guestbook since there are a lot of interesting comments from Model A'ers all over the world. Here's hoping for another wonderful year in 1998 and that you all enjoy this web site as much as I do. Gus Stangeland <gus@airmail.net> Richardson, TX USA - Sunday, December 28, 1997 at 16:42:11 (EST)

Welcome to the Ford Model A Guestbook! This is the place where you can leave your name, e-mail address, where you are from, the Model A's you have, special interests you have, areas of expertise you have, comments about this website, or anything else you would like to share with other Model A'ers. Enjoy! Gus Stangeland <gus@airmail.net> Richardson, TX USA - Wednesday, March 05, 1997 at 22:49:48 (EST)
