Hi, I have read some of your entries and was very impressed. I have a restored 1930 Sports Coupe, Australian Body. The Australian body contains wooden door frames and lots of body wood. The outward appearance of the vehicle is the same as the US model. We call it a SPORTS COUPE not a SPORT COUPE. The vehicle is RHD. I am working on a 2door Dlx Phaeton, Canadian Car. Built RHD in '31. Would be in terested in hearing from anyone who also has a RHD 180A.

Hello...and what a great site you have. I've entered an add in your site, hoping to acquire a Model A. Your site was recommended to me by another "Aer" who has two. I have a Ford 9N tractor that I still use for mowing, raking and hauling. A Ford model A pickup would be a nice any thoughts that can lead us to one. Just let us know. Thanks in advance for any tips!!!

I am 51 years old. I bought my first Model A in 1969. It was a mid-May 1931 coupe with an indent firewall that had been repressed from a flat firewall with the 'wrong holes' leaded over. I worked on it through high school and learned so much about cars and As in particular. I've got almost every part of the chassis memorized to this day and significant differences between models and years. I sold my A in 1974 while I was still in college and my parents were moving from California to Illinois. My hope and desire is to get another A someday. I want a Town Sedan. I prefer 30-31. I would love to have an indent firewall again since I kept the carb from my original car. But I don't want a slant windshield. I like the visor over the windshield. I'm not sure when the first slant windshield actually came off the line. Perhaps I could get a May-June, 1931, with an indent firewall but no slant windshield. No one has ever been able to tell me if this is possible. I will settle for a 1930, if I have to, though I also like the painted upper section of the radiator shell in the 31s. I still have a couple of boys to get through college. Then maybe I can stop deferring my dream. I think I would like to join the Dallas Club before owning an A again, but it may be too painful. An old neighbor friend, who currently has two As--a 29 roadster pickup and a 29 sport coupe--has encouraged me to join. When he comes to the library where I work we talk shop about Model As. I can't remember his name. He used to work for the Post Office and his wife was a realator in the Duncanville area. I once sold him an adjustable seat for a 1930 A that he put into a 30 coupe he sold. Enough rambling. I've printed out the membership form. I presume it is ok to join even if I don't own an A (yet). I would love to go on some Model A Roundups, if you do those here like we did in California. Oh as one other point of interest. I got to ride in a 1929 Towncar in 1970. It had just been discovered and was bought at an estate sale. At the time I believe there were only 14 in existence (Harrah's in Reno had two of them--one a right hand drive if I remember correctly). It was a cream puff--all totally original, but still needing a lot of work. Imagine driving across the Oakland Bay Bridge in a 29 Towncar--and yes, I did ride behind the glass! Sincerely, Ron Pappenhagen 460 Pogue Street Cedar Hill, TX 75104-9061 H: 972-293-5830 W: 972-780-4956 (Duncanville Public Library)

Recently acquired a "31 Coupe. Older restoration. Your group seem like a fun bunch of people. Will try to make a few meetings and join. 320 mile round trip will impact attendance. Went along on a Bugtussel trek about 25 years ago with the AACA Dallas club. Do you still stop and root for the undefeated football team at Bugtussel?
